Community Impact Days bring the YKP community together to respond to identified needs through service, giving, and collective participation.
As part of YKP Connect’s community pillar, each initiative offers a different way for participants, volunteers, partners, and supporters to contribute; from donating needed items to volunteering time or working alongside community partners.
OUR FIRST COMMUNITY IMPACT DAY
Teachers Donation Drive 2025
YKP Connect partnered with an organization supporting foreign teachers working in Baltimore City and surrounding areas for our first Community Impact Day.
The donation drive brought teachers, volunteers, and members of the YKP community together to collect and distribute items for teachers preparing for the winter season. Approximately 30 people participated, creating an opportunity to meet the educators, welcome them to the community, and provide practical support as they settled into the area.
Community is more than being connected. It’s also about showing up for one another and contributing where there is a need.
Through Community Impact Days, YKP brings people together not only to build relationships, but to put that sense of community into action.
